Perhaps you need to ride it a few times before the computer gets its maximum range figured out.   ???

But no doubt the cold weather also helped with the low range estimate.  :o

Exactly. The computer learns. If it's super cold and you ride fast... It'll say range is pretty low. I haven't ever seen an Empulse get that low unless it was racing.

Also, the range indicator is notoriously fickle. I have found the only time that it's accurate is if I hold the throttle at a steady position on a level roadway. Then it's very accurate, IF I maintain that speed.

I wasn't racing but riding kind of hard and got +/-45 miles.

Was it a demo? If so, how many miles does the bike have on it? If you want to know how the bike was ridden before you got it you can download the drive files and send them to Brammo...
Sometimes it's best not to know  :o

45 is low in my experience.

Certainly cold weather can be a problem, especially if the bike wasn't plugged in before riding so the heaters can do their job.

I posted elsewhere on this forum the results of my highway range test where I got an average of 57 miles (IIRC) at a constant speed of 75 mph. This was somewhere around 65F temperature. I routinely get around  70 to 80 miles in mixed city/hwy riding and 90 to 100 miles in city riding.

I'm starting to see that the range indication might be a bit jumpy in certain situations... I drove it from the garage out to my shop, and the range jumped up to 70 miles... :)
