Team Mugen to contest 2012 IOM TT Zero
« on: February 16, 2012, 06:10:16 PM »
This is an interesting story.  I gather from the article that Mugen is sort of a Honda skunk works.  It is about time that Honda showed some interest in electric motorcycles.  I think the IOM TT Zero race is going to be something to watch.  It will be interesting to see how the technology of electrical motorcycle racing has progressed since last year and the IOM is a great place to give it a try.   :)

You're exactly right. Mugen is to Honda what AMG is to Mercedes, M is to BMW, and SVT is to Ford

Are Brammo going to be at the Isle of Mann TT this year?

No.

But what about Brammo’s 2013 Zero Brammo-Killer Killer? :)

We did go to the Isle of Man in 2009 and finished on the podium as the top American team. We will return, but not this year. Best of luck to the teams competing – it’s a truly life-changing experience to attend the TT.

(Emphasis added by me.)

That's too bad, as I would have loved to see them win the £10,000 prize for the first team to break an average speed of 100mph. My guess is that somebody is going to win that prize this year.
