Jeremy Dory Wins Evangelist of the Year and Receives Brammo's Empulse R
ASHLAND, Ore., Oct. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Brammo Inc., a leading developer of electric vehicle technology and manufacturer of two-wheel electric vehicles, is delighted to announce the 2012 Brammo Evangelist of the Year: Jeremy Dory. Dory will receive a Brammo Empulse R electric motorcycle for his enthusiastic Brammo fandom. A software engineer based in Colorado, Dory is a life-long outdoors enthusiast, a long-time motorcyclist and an advocate of the electric vehicle movement.

Dory is the founder and primary author behind Empulsebuyer.com, a blog dedicated to Brammo's newest motorcycle. . Dory purchased the domain name for his blog shortly after learning of Brammo's plans to develop and produce the Empulse, an electric motorcycle with 100+ miles range and a maximum speed greater than 100 mph. Upon learning about Brammo's electric motorcycles, Dory says, "I discovered that I could enjoy one of my favorite hobbies guilt-free from a carbon perspective and without compromise. I created Empulsebuyer.com to help people see not only the beautiful design of the Empulse, but also the cost savings of going electric."

Beyond blogging on Empulsebuyer.com, Dory developed the "Total Cost of Ownership," a mobile application that compares cost-savings between electric and gas-powered motorcycles. Dory also is an active member in the online community Brammo Owner's Forum (brammoforum.com).

Craig Bramscher, the CEO of Brammo, Inc., says, "Jeremy epitomizes what we look for in an Evangelist, and with so many Brammo enthusiasts, it was a tough call to pick this year's winner."

"Jeremy is the ideal recipient of this award," concurs Harry Mallin, the recipient of the 2010 Brammo Evangelist of the Year Award. "His dedication to electric vehicles is evident in his recent purchase of a Chevrolet Volt and in his dogged pursuit to become one of the first owners of a Brammo Empulse. Jeremy will discover, as I did, that Brammo not only makes beautiful electric motorcycles, but also reliable, safe, durable and fun to ride."

Dory looks forward to many years of eco-friendly riding on his new, white Brammo Empulse R. He says, "My first ride will be through Deer Creek Canyon just north of my house. This route is a real treat with tons of twisties and beautiful scenery. The Empulse R was made for these kinds of roads."

Empulse R production is now underway with demonstration bikes in dealerships and deliveries to customers who pre ordered starting shortly. The Empulse will go into production in Q1 2013.

Well, actually the guy in second isn't really all that nice....

Congratulations EmpulseBuyer!!!
How long will it take to ride the bike from Daytona to Colorado?

Just kidding of course, great promotion from Brammo. I hope they extend the program to the old world too...

Looking forward to your ride reports, I hope there will be many

Thanks you guys! I really couldn't have done it without regurgitating information from the forums into my blog posts ;D. So really, thanks to everyone here, especially BrammoFan, the guy who is basically responsible for starting the program.

I am definitely looking forward to posting MANY ride reports once I get this bad boy. I honestly have no idea whether or not this moves me up in the queue or not, so when I get mine, I will be sure to let you guys know. ;D

Now it looks like this will be a yearly thing for Brammo... Sooo, Gavin may end up with an Empulse RR or something. Who knows. ;)... BTW, Brammo hasnt really given me any new information, but I do know the Empulse RR replica is being considered, and there are rumors that it MAY not be the only Brammo with a Parker motor.

Ha, an RR would do :)

I have a feeling I won't be the only one pushing hard to publicize Brammo...

I might end up making it a habit to be second...and while second is often a great finish, not so much here... :)

Enjoy, have fun, ride safe...and post photos :)

I will give you the idea I had planned to do if I had been first

Get Eric and SteveO to sign the white tank of the R and have it sealed

It would be instantly a collectors item...and super cool

Nice one EB!

Isn't it ironic that the guy who starts "empulseBUYER.com" ends up getting an Empulse without actually buying one???

Should have been "emplusegetoneforfree.com".    ;D

That is a kick ass idea Gavin, Im gonna see if Brammo can make that happen. ;D

Was nice to meet Protomech, Freepz, and TTXGPFan out there, very cool dudes. Perhaps I will see you guys at the races next year.

As far as actually buying a Brammo, I am now looking at the Engage or Encite so I can go off road... I think they will eventually make their investment back as they now always had a customer for life. BTW, I already own the domain name EmpulseRider.com ;)
