2013 Boxx
« on: May 09, 2013, 10:34:05 AM »
The sure picked the right name for it.  And no helmets required?

The lighting under the vehicle to either side is kind of an interesting feature.  See the video (and not much else) here:

current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

I read about this scooter a year or so ago. I really like the concept! It looks dorky, but in a dork-chic sort of way... I would totally sport one, but the top speed wont even get my out of my subdivision without getting killed. They need to make a Boxx R ;)

Looks like an Apple iBook on wheels.

And you can get it with a COREĀ® 2 for only $599 extra!  ;)

But will it fit under your airliner seat, or will it have to go into the overhead bin?   ;)

I think I'll wait a while to buy the boxxfan.com domain.

I kind of like it. This is more an alternative to a Segway than a competitor for Brammo/Zero/et al. Obviously it's hyper-stylized, but it's a good example of the type of alternative designs possible with electrics.

I would guess it would have the same helmet and PPE requirements as any other motorized two wheeler.
