Found this on Motocycle News Facebook page.
BREAKING NEWS: A BMW test rider has just ridden a fully-working S1000RR electric superbike onto the stage during the launch for their new G310R roadster.
BMW say there's no immediate intent to build a road-going bike for release, but that this is a development bike to test the boundaries of what's possible, using their existing in-house technology. It's clearly something they're considering though, and have committed to talk more about the bike in the near future. More details to follow as we get them.
