Automated vehicles vs motorcyclists

I thought this long article was pretty interesting and gives you something, perhaps unpleasant, to think about:

current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

Good article. Thanks.

Once again, it seems the bulk of the challenge is the wetware between the ears. Turning any vehicle over to a computer-aided safety system, to the degree that you don't avoid a motorcyclist,h ought to be a felony.

I have a friend that suggested that one solution to the automated vehicle hazard is just to go about 5 mph above the speed limit. Driver-less cars will undoubtedly stay at the speed limit, so this should protect motorcyclists as long as they're moving. Sounds like a plan.  ;)

and one discussing liability should a self-driving car cause an accident:
