Once again, it seems the bulk of the challenge is the wetware between the ears. Turning any vehicle over to a computer-aided safety system, to the degree that you don't avoid a motorcyclist,h ought to be a felony.

I have a friend that suggested that one solution to the automated vehicle hazard is just to go about 5 mph above the speed limit. Driver-less cars will undoubtedly stay at the speed limit, so this should protect motorcyclists as long as they're moving. Sounds like a plan.
