You might have heard that Zero is recalling their entire 2012 production due to the possibility of the 2012 models shorting out their battery packs and catching on fire when charging and even when being ridden. They will be buying back all of the 218 Zeros made that year - if they can find them. A letter has gone out to the registered owners with a buy-back offer of $5080 for a (6kWh) ZF6 or $6040 for a (9kWh) ZF9. This gives you some idea of what Zero, at least, thinks a 6-year old used electric motorcycle is worth. I think this is roughly 40% of what they cost new - if my memory is correct.
