(VIDEO) Tour of Brammo’s factory and focus on the Empulse
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:47:31 AM »

Here is a brief article that has a nice video of the Empulse.

Quote
Brian Wismann, director of product development director at Brammo provides a short history of the models development during a factory tour.

It all started in 2009 on the Isle Man (IOMTT) with two electric motorcycles based on the technology developed for the Enertia (first model of the brand).

These high performance versions developed specifically for racing received with great critical acclaim from press and public, which led Brammo to develop a series model directly derived from the race version that offers similar performances, it is called the Empulse.

Sweet video! Man, I REALLY hope I don't have to wait until winter to get one of these bad boys...

Quote from the video (1:35)
"2010, we're going to release a commercial version of the bikes we actually raced at the Isle of Man TT ..."

Is this video really old, or did Brian Wismann give the wrong date? 2010? ??? It's already almost mid 2011, and the Empulse is still not available. If the original plan was to have the bike available in 2010, it really looks like they had some serious delays. Of course, "release" could mean that they were only expecting to show the prototype in 2010, but I think that's a bit of a stretch.

Does anybody have an idea of how old this video is? (YouTube says that it was posted on April 13, 2011.)
