Thank for posting this article. I was fortunate enough to be able to see the concept Nawa Racer at the 2020 CES, as well as meeting Pascal Boulanger, the founder and CTO/COO of Nawa Technologies. The concept bike was non-functional but was part of a tech demo that demonstrated the benefits of adding an ultracapacitor to a lithium battery. It was great to be able to sit on the concept bike and experience the demo while chatting with the founder of the company. It'll be great to see how the prototype bike performs.

I think that there is definite potential for this technology.
As a side note, I own a cordless screwdriver that uses a capacitor rather than a battery for power. It charges in 90 seconds and works just as well today as it did 10 years ago.
