Here is a little bit of news regarding the new LiveWire One model that is set to be introduced to the public within about a month from now. Well....  At least Harley didn't fold the tent after one year like Polaris did with the Victory Empulse TT....

No, but they did shuffle the LW off into the weeds by selling it from dedicated dealerships that likely will need to be subsidized heavily by H-D (or someone) in order to keep the doors open. I just don't know how that is going to work out for very long.    It sounds like a scheme for failure to me.

Supposedly the new Livewire is basically a more powerful version of the HD Livewire.  I might be supermoto racing during the IMS I will see if I can sneak a peak at it while I'm there.   The biggest question is how much does it cost?  That's the reason I don't have another electric bike right now they're too damn expensive.  What Livewire needs to do is introduce lower cost minibikes.  The Sur Rons are selling like hotcakes right now.  I think HD own Staycyc those little electric bikes, so I don't know why they can't come out with something cheaper, they just don't know how I guess.

They're trying to follow Teslas's success I guess.

What I read in the quoted article above by Motorcycle.com is that the "new" version of the LiveWire is slightly less powerful than the original version. What H-D has done is to quote the new model's "peak" HP of 101, while the older model's horsepower was measured as 70, but at the "continuous" rating. The original model's "peak" power is 105.
