first apologise for my poor English writing
So, this is were we are:
i rebuilded 6 old valence batteries, removed the 120 old dead/crappy 18650 cells and replaced them by 4x 50Ah EVE prismatic cells, my chinese vendor packed and connected the cells by laserwelding 25mm2 alu busbars on the terminals. The new pack was 2mm to big for the old original valence casing, so i 3Dprinted 6 new casings. I connected the original bms wiring on the busbars. Checking the rebuild batteries with the valence diagnostic software: no alarms, green led, balancing is working, man i'm so happy. Charging with CC/CV powersupply went well (4x3,6V=14,4V, 99,8% SOC, balance within 10mV) and test-discharging 10A continious showed a capacity of 53 AH, so far looking good!
The reason for rebuilding was clear; crappy cells screwing up the capacity and performance of my Brammo. Last year i was able to make a 15km trip max and then a row of warnings and alarms appeared on the dashboard B55... till B40, but after re-charging all alarms disappeared and my Brammo was ready for a short run again. This summer i couldn't ride, ik kept an eye on the soc and waited for the new cells from my chinese friends. While not riding I didn't notice the slight chance in startup behaviour: after turning the key a B7 alarm showed up for a second and than a B40 alarm took over, so no startup. This occured with the old pack and continued after installing the new rebuilded pack, i felt like crying...
After crying i went on searching for a course of the malfunction; i found out that when i push the little grey startbutton before turning the ignitionkey and keeping the startbutton pushed after turning the key: the startup looks normal, the big contactor 'click' is there and the motorfan is blowing, when i throttle the bike is actually moving a few cm's till alarm B7 appears
.
I think the electronics for the drive are ok, B7 stands for "lost module" could there be something wrong with (one of) the battery electronics? i have 2 leftover old batteries with green led, i think i swap them with the allready installed batteries, truing to finfd the bad battery, sounds reasonable?
