Brammo Cruiser?

That looks like a Cruiser to me.

Here's a close up.


I had heard that Brammo was working on a cruiser. This is the first time I've seen a picture of it.

Looks like they are calling it the Egnite (Sprint). Heck it's pretty much an Empulse with a lower seat, so it should have very similar range/speed. I'm sure the handling is going to be quite different.

It's been a LONG time everyone's been waiting for the Empulse, and this hasn't even been announced yet,,, much less the first promise of when it will be available,,,

I've wanted an electric cruiser for a long enough time that I've started drawing up designs myself. I can wait.

The caption on that photograph (posted on facebook) was:

We had a longtime friend stop by EICMA to visit, share his designs and chat. Greg Stoermer and Adrian Stewart visit with Billy Amateo! The Brammo team loves meeting and hanging out with our community!

Darn. I think that picture is "fan art" from Billy Amateo, who is a fan of Brammo, and it's not an actual picture of anything that Brammo is going to build. At the very least, that picture might inspire Greg to design an official Brammo cruiser. Only time will tell.

All is not lost.

Back in September, Gene Seymour of Brutus electric motorcycles went to Brammo HQ. And that fan art shows how a little modification can turn the Empulse into an Egnite. Also, when I asked about when Brammo was going to come out with some fairings for the Empulse (so I can get a lot more than 50 miles at highway speeds), I was told that they have so many projects in mind that they have to prioritize. One of those projects may be a Cruiser.

Then again, they still have to finish the dirt bikes for Brammo Parx, and who knows what else?

Perhaps you can float some Cruiser designs over to Brammo to inspire them to build a Cruiser sooner rather than later. That may have been what Billy was doing.

I've been seriously thinking about asking Brammo if they'd be willing to sell a motor, transmission, controller, and batteries for the Empulse. Then I can stick them into a cruiser of my own design. Of course if Brammo wanted to use any of that design I would be honoured!

Then again, if Brammo is like Honda or other large motor vehicle companies, those components would probably cost more seperately than if I purchased an Empulse and pulled them out.

The design does resemble Brutus... a lot. Even the color choice. If Brammo can start producing a cheaper version of the Brutus, that would be awesome! The bike is mostly ready to go, all they would have to do is to find ways to use Brammo's parts and production line to cheapen the price a little. Gene would have a good industrial support and Brammo would have a great design and Gene to help out.

On another unrelated news, my college got our first electric charging station approved. Now I just need something to park in front of it Gavin-style.

Wow,, nice looking cruisers! I rented an Electra Glide for this weekend, for the Hawaii Toys for Tots ride tomorrow, and boy is it smooth!!!

I still can't wait for my Empulse though !!!

Yep, the Lito is a beautiful bike. It is unfortunately, far, far outside my price range.
