I just returned from a pleasant ride to Alice's Restaurant on my Zero.  I note that City Bike is well stocked both in the Restaurant (in the rack in front of the cash register) and in the newspaper rack in front of the gas station.  Also the rack across the street next to the Skywood Grocery store contains the magazine.  I mention City Bike because it contains a review of the Empulse R this month.

While there I tried to plug into the outlet box next to the FedEx mailbox and I couldn't get it to work today.  So I asked one of the owners if there was another 120 outlet around that I could hook up to while I ate lunch.  He said sure, there was one behind the gate next to the adjacent realty office and another one behind the gas station.  Photo attached. 

Everyone at the Restaurant seems very friendly to electric motorcycle riders.

Here is a photo of the 240V outlet on the right side of the gas station's wall, located next to the Restaurant.  I have no idea where that extension cord goes to, other than it seems to disappear into the back of the gas station.  Until I told him that I didn't need 240, the owner was going to pull the plug and let me use the outlet.

I experienced that last weekend when I was up there and the guy in the gas station happily showed me the plug behind the gate.

I hope I didn't jeopardize any good relations a couple of weeks ago when I asked and nobody had any ideas.  One of the guys who worked there eventually found an extension cord for me to plug in behind the shack without having to block the area with my bike and it didn't work because it was a 2 prong extension cord.  Later when I ran into him I wanted to let him know why I wasn't using the cord (I didn't want to appear ungrateful), but from his reaction I think I came across more as "You idiot, that cord you gave me sucked".  I should follow up and make sure there were no hard feelings next time I see him...  :(

There are two owners of the Restaurant. One has no hair and the other has grey hair.  The fellow with hair is a lot more friendly to just about everyone.   :)

Just wanted to update people that there is a nearby J1772 charger just a couple of minutes walk (through the back alley of the fire station) from Alice's.  It is fairly clearly a residential charger, but they have listed it on plugshare as a public charger.  When I first used it I rang the doorbell to ask and the guy who answered the door said that it was OK to just use it and they use so much electricity in their household (with what looks like 2 EVs) that they wouldn't notice.

Also, it's just a 110 charger so it charges at L1 rates even though it has a J1772 handle.  Not any faster than bringing your Brammo-supplied portable charger, but more convenient if you don't want to lug it around...
