Why electric motorcycles weigh so much
« on: October 03, 2013, 10:06:47 AM »
Here is an article by Rideapart where Derek Dorresteyn, Chief Technology Officer at San Francisco start-up BRD Motorcycles (I am still waiting to see a BRD on the road) discusses why electric motorcycles weigh so much, compared with IC motorcycles.  No doubt you have already guessed that it has something to do with batteries.  Here is a link to the article.  The BRD guys always do a nice job of explaining electric motorcycle technology.  And yes, if you look hard enough, the Brammo Empulse is mentioned.
