Brammo sponsors and supplies batteries for snowmobile team

I just saw this on Facebook:



S.D.S.M.T. Alternative Fuel Vehicle wrote: "Brammo is a sponsor of the team. The Li-ion batteries used by the team are the same modules found on the Empulse motorcycle as is the motor. Everything else is engineered and built by the team to make these components (and other critical drive components) function properly for this application and in accordance with the SAE rules for our particular student design competition."
 
So SDSMT is the South Dakota State School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, and this is their alterative fuel vehicle, an electric snowmobile. Check them out on Facebook.

I'm a little sad they didn't incorporate the battery modules along a spine, as on the Empulse.

Looks like a cool project.
