I note that the video was actually produced last year (October '13) and the price for the RS is actually $60-$75k depending on components. The eventual R model will be the one you can get for a little over $30k.
They are pulling a "Tesla" in only offering fully loaded versions at a premium first to make up development costs and then offering the normal priced ones later. Energica is doing the same thing with the Ego 45 models (individually numbered from 1-45) for double the price of the regular Ego and you can only buy a 45 until all 45 are sold.
