H-D's new E-bike company
« on: November 08, 2020, 05:37:46 PM »
Apparently, H-D is so worried about the faithful berating them for producing an electric bicycle that they had to create a separate company to manufacture their new E-bikes. And they didn't name it Buell.  ::) Here is the story. Looks expensive to me:
current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

Very expensive looking.

I'd guess they're just trying to capitalize on their name, because they are entering a space that already has lots of contenders, many of them high-quality, that offer folks that use e-bikes in utilitarian ways much more practical designs. E.g. no fender or rack or water bottle bosses, no integrated useful headlight. Of course HD wouldn't release other much more expensive models with these features...

Not being a person enamored of the Motor Company, I'll just have to wait for pricing and features to decide.

I have a Harley Davidson mountain bike that I bought from Toys R Us a while back, hah it was one of those Chinese bikes with Harley Davidson slapped on it.
