Thank you for posting this. Well worth reading. It looks like things might be taking a turn for the worse with the Livewire. First Harley spins it off into its own brand, and then they reduce the dealer network to only three states? I don't get it. Not only that, but what about the Harley dealerships that invested in charging stations etc. for the original Livewire?
I just read the Electrek article again and it looks like there might still be some hope. Here's a quote:
"Interestingly, LiveWire is taking a different approach to sales by beginning with a largely online ordering process. The LiveWire ONE will first be available in three states of California, Texas, and New York before availability in additional dealers and states opens in the fall."
It's hard to believe that most of the legacy motorcycle manufacturers aren't taking the EV thing seriously. I guess it's up to the startups to teach them a lesson, much like what Tesla did.
