DAYI Motors E-Odin
« on: June 01, 2021, 08:46:34 AM »
Here is a company that has announced a new electric-drive motorcycle that appears to have been designed to look a lot like an old BMW K-bike (and not a BMW boxer  ;) ). It has a decent size battery and pretty fast charging, although the motor isn't all that powerful especially considering that it is loaded with hard luggage and is designed to carry two people. But they really need to do something about that model's name if they want their customers to brag about owning one: https://electricmotorcycles.news/dayi-motor-launches-their-electric-motorcycle-e-odin/
current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

My two friends own this electric motorcycle from China and so far they are happy with it. The name of the manufacturer is not so important for them :-)

Actually I think that is a nice looking electric motorcycle. It is just that the "E-Odin" model name seems odd to me. But likely not in China.

I too like the appearance of the bike. Very much.
The name? Not so much. Sounds like you're beginning to yodel.

Looks pretty nice it reminds me of the Voge ER10 White Ghost the specs are similar.  The white ghost is a mid drive though, it uses a Sur Ron motor.

I know in mythology Odin has something to do with Lightning or Thunder so it kinda makes sense, Thor was the god of Lightning/Thunder though.

You know what that "engine" area reminds me of is the Goldwing haha

My recollection is that Odin was the boss of the Scandinavian gods.
