More info here, but basically this represents a major step closer to full production and distribution in HK for Brammo.

Great news...Brammo can sell a huge number of electric bikes in Hong Kong. With the pollution and traffic, and insanely large population, well an electric bike make perfect sense.

And Brammo needs to push the clean air part of the Enertia and Enertia plus...

The air is getting worse and worse in HK

It looks like HK is starting to get worried about it:

Quote
Hong Kong’s acting environment secretary has proposed a ban on running engines of parked vehicles, and environmental groups are calling on the government to ban heavy diesel vehicles from driving in busy districts during peak traffic hours.

Brammo needs to see about getting be sales from companies and the government. I imagine the HK government would love to look proactive at this problem...having police and government workers would be a great start. And the Enertia cheaper than government cars for employees. Cheaper to park too.

If Brammo is supposed to have production up and running in Europe at Flextronics by April, 2011, Does this possibly imply that Empulse production could be a little earlier in the US??
