No dilemma here - we are a welcoming forum
« on: December 20, 2010, 02:04:18 PM »

When the Ron Howard movie, "The Dilemma," starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James, opens on January 14, there will be a whole world of people discovering:

1. Electric motorcycles exist;
2. Electric motorcycles are cool; and
3. Electric motorcycles are available.

The movie includes several Brammo Enertias and the Brammo TTR racebike from the 2009 TTXGP. People are going to want to learn about them, buy them (please), and see them in action.  I am hopeful that the community we have here on the Brammo Owners Forum will be ready, willing, and able to answer questions; share stories, photos, and videos; and perhaps even a test ride or two.

January 14 in Kansas City (my home town) is likely to be wintry and cold, but I may put my bike up on my hitch carrier and take it to a theater or two on opening weekend, just to show it off.

I'm also considering calling up the theater and asking them if they'd be interested in having my bike displayed in their lobby.  Not like it's going to drip oil on their carpet or anything.

What about your home town?  Will it be warm enough to ride to the theater?

Great idea...

No Brammo yet, and not likely for the premiere...but I have an outside hope that I will have it by the time the DVD is released...I would happily park my Brammo powercycle outside the local Best Buy on the DVD/Bluray release date.

Or maybe Brammo can send me a loaner till mine is made and I will happily ride it, rain, shine or snow, to the local theater for the film Premiere...No New Mexico weather has stopped me from riding yet...and I often park my scooters right in front of the local theater...Now the question would be which theater...the slightly fancier, rich people Downtown Century 14 or the larger middle class Century 24? Either one would likely love to have a vehicle from the movie to have in the lobby.

So Brammo gets me my Plus soon and it will be there...no pressure
:)

Great idea!

I would just be able to make it to my local theater and it will be ridiculously cold, but I will give it a shot. It would be too cool to have an Enertia as an awesome prop for the movie theater to use.

Cool, my wife was probably gonna drag me to that movie anyway. Although I probably would have gone since Vince Vaughn is in it.

Everyone at Brammo is very anxious to see the bikes in the film.  We didn't pay any huge product placement budget, so the bikes made it there on merit alone.  So... don't get any huge expectations that they'll be the star of the film like an Aston in a James Bond flick.  Still... I love these two actors, and the film looks funny, so I'm looking forward to seeing if, where, and how the bikes show up!  Cool idea to ride the Enertia to the opening, I think our little Ashland theater will have a fleet of Enertias there...
