Awesome! Huge congrats Brammo! Brammo should see an increase in pre-orders for the race-proven Empulse. Cant wait to see the production spec Empulse in November! This legendary bike has already taken its place in history!

Here's an email just received from Brammo:
Brammo Wins 2011 TTXGP North American Championship

Ashland, OR, September 6th 2011--Brammo, Inc. a global leader in the electric vehicle industry, won the TTXGP North American Championship series for electric motorcycles on Sunday, September 4th at Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele, Utah.

Steve Atlas riding the # 58 Brammo Empulse RR finished third in Sunday’s race, and in doing so clinched the coveted 2011 TTXGP Championship.

Brammo ended the North American 2011 season with a convincing demonstration of technology, experience and talent. The result this weekend confirms that Brammo is indeed the leading electric vehicle innovator with its Brammo Power battery pack and vehicle management system.

Brian Wismann, Director of Product Development for Brammo, said, "I am extremely pleased with the performance and result put in by the Brammo team today. Finishing on the podium is a great way to wrap up our North American Championship winning season. We have a great deal of work ahead of us if we are to successfully defend our title next year as the pace of electric motorcycle racing is continually increasing."

Steve Atlas who has ridden the Brammo Empulse RR all season stated, "I never would have thought going into this that we would come away as National Champions. It's a real credit to the people at Brammo that they can build a bike that's both fast enough and reliable enough to win a national championship." Atlas continues, "All I did was twist the right grip and enjoy the ride! I started out a skeptic, but I have to admit I’m now pumped about the future of electric motorsports!"

This is a good description of the race, although not Atlas's version. It seems that it was full of exciting moments, including Atlas celebrating a little too early and almost losing the third position  :o:

Thanks for all the congrats!  Really cool to have the support of our customers (present and soon to be) and fans and to know that someone out there appreciates the accomplishment.  It's been a great season and it was truly a team effort combined with a rock solid reliable race bike that made the championship a possibility.  Rest assured this technology will hit the street with the Empulse production bike and next year's race bike will move our performance on to the next level!  What an exciting time to be involved with electric motorcycles!

For anyone that missed it, here's a short clip of the race start...

Rock solid and going to be for sale...both HIGHLY important.

The Empulse RR ran in all races and ran well and finished all races...very important...

And for sale...VERY important... The Mission bike is LOVELY...and FAST...and won't be for sale.

Yes, indeed, Gavin and Brian. Can I have mine now, please? ::)

It really is amazing that it is a production bike and not a concept that people invest millions on just one or two bikes. It's even better that it is an almost affordable bike. If the price dropped under 10k, it would be just beautiful! Can anyone tell Virginia lawmakers that we need some incentives around here? I don't vote here, so they keep ignoring me...
