LA is the motorcycle capital of the US, that's why. All of the moto media, distributors, and big time dealers are there. But mostly the media.
I think it sounds a bit like a meeting to discuss and plan the launch, and not in prep of the actual launch to me. But I'm in a mood, so. Speaking of in a mood, I am fine with Brammo taking their time. Being the central authority of elmoto blogging that I am (that's where you lol) I have had comments come my way the past month or so. Some of them have unintentionally taken me off the fence and have me really wanting to watch the Zero supporters, and even Zero to a point, eat crow. I want Brammo to come out with the solid, mature, and refined product that I am certain they want it to be, and that will be far and beyond what Zero has been able to accomplish, for the same price.
This bike is going to be a $13,000 bike, in that even though it's performance numbers may only be that of an SV650, it is going to have the quality componentry of a base Duc 848. I think this is something Brammo really needs to focus on in their marketing. Yes it is the price of a 1000cc sport bike with 650 performance, but that is because it is our flagship bike and we put seriously quality components on here. And it has as much torque as a liter bike, all-day-long.
That is the biggest impression I came away with on my little ride on the Brammo I had last fall, was just how solid it was, and how damn nice everything was. And I'm a VFR rider. VFRs are nice. That's my 2 cents.
