Another fully enclosed EV - the C-1
« on: March 01, 2012, 12:16:46 PM »
Here is the latest competition for the Mono-Tracer, the C-1. Its claim-to-fame is that it is stabilized by gyros. Plus, at a price of 15,000 Pounds, seems really (too) cheap. I wouldn't put too much money on this thing being financially successful though (in my opinion), but here it is and it does look nice:

I might add that BMW may not be happy about this name, as they used to build a partially-enclosed IC scooter called the C-1 (which never sold well) and they also built a single EV prototype using their C-1 chassis and the Vectrix power train a few years ago. Their lawyers may come a-knocking one day.    :o
current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

This is from Lit Motors which is HQ'd in "the bay area of California."

Check out their site.

They also have an interesting looking cargo scooter.
