Empulse questions answered by Brammo
« on: April 24, 2012, 09:27:39 AM »
When the e-mail went out to people who pre-ordered the Empulse, there was an option to send Brammo questions. Here are three questions that I asked Brammo and the answers came from Adrian Stewart, Brammo's Director of Marketing.

Here are the questions I asked via e-mail:

Question: Will the Empluse (non-R) be a two-seater?

Answer: I think you can safely assume the non R will also be a two seater.

Question: Will there be a loyalty bonus for Enertia owners who upgrade to the Empulse?

Answer: There will not be a loyalty bonus for Enertia owners wanting to move to the Empulse.
However, we will be encouraging Brammo dealers to be confident in high resale values when trading
            in Enertias.

Question: Will it be OK to post any answers to the Brammo Owners Forum?

Answer: I am good with you posting those replies.

Why would one want an empulse after an enertia? They are completely diifferent in design and use.

I could understand enertia to enertia plus but not epr. ???

I'll take this one: While I love my Enertia, I am sure that I'd also love an Empulse.  The increased range - yes.  The speed - YES. The handling that I'm sure will come with the package - yes.  The looks - YES.

In 2009 the Enertia was the best electric motorcycle you could buy, barring one-off specials like the Mission One that AFAIK never produced a single bike.

In 2012 the Empulse will almost certainly be the best electric motorcycle you can buy, barring one-off specials like the Lightning bike.

It's that easy.

My Enertia Classic fit my basic commuting needs in 2009. The Empulse will fit my commuting needs better, be highway capable and have better range. I am intending to use the Empulse for weekend trips and errands further from home along with commuting to work.

I also agree with Brammofan's and Protomech's posts above.

I was hoping to see a two seated, one is the loneliest number.

What makes you think it's a single seater?
(Update: Ahhh... maybe I read your comment wrong.  Now I see that you could be saying, basically, I'm glad it's a two seater, as one is the loneliest number."  My bad...)

I am curious as to the difference between the Empulse R and the empulse. The R stand for betteR or fiRst?

So true.   :o  That is why I tend to buy motorcycles with an "F" or a "T" in the title.   ;)

Maybe they should call the other one Empulse VSACFIP (Very Safe and Cheap to Fix for Insurance Purposes)... ::)

My pocket would appreciate it.

I'm hoping it only stands for faiRing and not much more than a $500-1000 premium.

Offer a full track bike with the fancy suspension parts, but offer a street bike with some bodywork too. I'll never need those fancy parts on my commute.

Shelina may not be officially a Brammo employee/racer yet (or maybe she is) but she is close enough I thought it relevant.  She said on Facebook that she got one test ride and that it was "AWESOME", and that she took it into herself to make sure it goes over a 100mph.

I would like to preface this by saying I have also heard she is the only one who actually enjoys racing the Harley XR1200 class.

My apologies if this has already been posted.
