I quickly did "save image"...

Initial impression is that this has a much more refined tail, tank, battery pack, and lower cowl than the prototype.  The battery packs on the prototype were very obvious, and stood out like a sore thumb.  These battery packs look more integrated to my eye.

I like the taller bars, I'm sure others will be hoping that the May 8th reveal will include news on a lower bar option, more like the prototype.  

I also compared it to a photo of my current ride (SV650), and the geometry seems fairly similar, which was something I'm hoping for.  I really like seating position on my SV650.  Does anyone know who the rider is, and how tall they are?

This looks to me like it has the "Empulse R" on the side of it.  I still can't imagine what the non-R will be.  Looks like no full-fairing for the "R".  Maybe the non "R" spec bike will be lower end suspension and brakes?  

I see rear pegs for a passenger, but that doesn't look like a very comfortable seat...  

I'm pretty happy.  Can't wait until the 8th!

Looks like there is a big red "R" on the side, after the white "Empulse" lettering.  I'm concluding this makes it the Empulse R.

i like the rear fender better...foot pegs for the passenger....tank is nicer...

They did move the radiator down low...it is the one visual change I am not in love with...makes the bottom more bulky.

But with that riding position...I could rock this bike...still getting the Plus, but this is a sports bike I could own...and I don't like sports bikes.

Hmm, some changes I like, some I dont. Do I still want it? Hell yes... (pending price and subsequent wife approval) and I want to see more pictures! I can wait till May 8th now... (not that I could before) dont really see this as much of a spoiler, and I dont think the low quality pic will do it justice.

It baffles me that they dont have a faired version like the RR... I also thought the R was going to have more aggressive ergos.

When I went to look at the 2012 Zero S here at Grand Prix Motorsports I showed the guy a picture of the Empulse on my phone... he was like "Looks like they used the same headlight as Zero." to which I replied "Actually it was the other way around", to which he replied "Well you can buy one of these." Touché...
