Hi all,
I've been following Brammo's development for several years now and the Empulse is the first electric bike that quickens my pulse. So I'm looking forward to a test ride.

What I'm not sure about is whether it will fit me. I'm 6'4" w/34" inseam. I ride a 2010 BMW GS that fits me well with a relaxed, upright sitting position. At 60, my back is well beyond the days of riding a sport bike and my knees don't like being tightly bent for any period too. Hopefully this will not be an issue with this bike. We'll see.

Take a look at http://cycle-ergo.com/ - you can input your height and inseam and compare ergonomics for various bikes. See below a picture of what it outputs for your specifications (2010 G650GS, not sure what you have).

They don't have the production Empulse up yet (I've submitted a request to them), but the concept definitely looks really cramped for a tall guy.

The production bike is significantly less cramped, but it's still a more aggressive riding position than your GS. Brammo's CEO Craig Bramscher is 6' 3" .. I believe he's stated somewhere that he's comfortable on the Empulse.

Putting your butt in the seat is the real litmus test, but until then here you go : )

That Empulse looks like the one with the clip-ons instead of the current model with the more upright handlebars. 

I'll bet you'll fit just fine.  I'm 6'-3" with a 34" inseam and fit just fine on my Enertia.  I sat for a moment on the Empulse prototype last year at Laguna Seca and the fit was great.  I actually preferred the wider seat over the one on my Enertia.

Oh yeah. The top picture is the production Empulse roughed in (no attempt to preserve exact scaling, for example) next to the ergo picture of the G650GS from cycle-ergo.

The bottom picture is the concept Empulse (circa 2010) with its more aggressive riding position ... just for a point of reference.

OK I've added the 2012+ Brammo Empulse.

For a 6'4" rider, the Empulse has a 69 degree knee angle and a 9 degree forward lean angle, which is a little more aggressive than the G650GS's 76 degree knee angle and 0 degree forward lean angle.

The seat looks like it has plenty of room to move around in.

I'm finally catching up on emails, and got the http://cycle-ergo.com/ message that the 2012 Empulse is on their list.  (Big thank you to cycle-ergo.com !!!)

I compared it to my current SV650 that I love riding, and it's darn close to the same angles just like I hoped.  The Brammo is actually even a little bit better for my tastes.  3 degrees less knee angle, and 3 degrees less forward lean for my height and inseam (your results will vary depending on your height and inseam).  The "center on seat" option, and clicking on the image and using the roller is a very cool way to compare positions.
