TCO Calculator Battery Life Component

I just updated the TCO calculator to include more information about the electric motorcycles batteries:



Question... I read that cell degradation is linear, even beyond battery EOL charge cycle numbers... is that correct? If so, my calculations for projected ranges and miles should be accurate. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could double check my numbers. (in this case they are shown for the Empulse)

I don't know the answer to your question on degradation, but I like the addition to TCO calc.  Great work!

Yes, generally speaking battery degradation is linear with cycles.

80% is a standard point to quote EOL, but it's not always used. Tesla quoted the Roadster battery EOL at 70% battery life / 7 years / 100k miles (which is only about 500 cycles).

Thanks for the feedback guys! I hope this helps people to realize that these batteries will last much longer than needed, even at half those numbers.
