2 Up?
« on: August 18, 2012, 03:25:31 PM »
In the promotional video, we get some great footage of Steve and his passenger on the same bike.

I always thought that the passenger was supposed to be sitting on that raised area on the back of the seat, but the passenger in the video looks like she's scooting right up to Steve.

Is there a recommended place for the passenger to sit on the seat? Or it is a case of doing whatever feels right?

Also, isn't the passenger supposed to hold on to those two handles next to the seat?

Nice catch!  Steve and his "partner" are definitely not maximizing the space available on the seat in that shot!  The intent is to ride on the raised portion behind the rider.  Here's a photo that shows the proper positioning...

Regarding the handles, they are required to classify the bike as passenger capable, but they are rarely used, with most passengers preferring to hold on to the rider.

The other thing to remember is that both SteveO and the model are fairly small...and the model looked to be trying to get real close and hold on tight (likely not a passenger often)...

most riders will sit more like Brian showed...
