Yellow Empulse TTX? Doing a wheelie?
« on: November 01, 2012, 08:37:28 PM »
Brian just tweeted this:
Can your #electricmotorcycle do this? #EmpulseTTX @BrammoSays @TTXGP http://telly.com/M8CPC

I didnt think the Empulse could wheelie like that... But perhaps the TTX version can? Yellow?

Sounds like hes throttling it up, no clutch, but I could be wrong.

Good 'ol power wheelie. No clutch trickery.

if it is the TTX, it is supposed to be just a standard R with the turn signals missing...

Looks like a half-TTX mod, like no rear passenger pegs.  That will probably be my first mod, along with chopping the tail.

Definitely awesome to see some sweet power wheelie action!  I won't do too many wheelies myself, but the ability to do wheelies for me is a psychological jump between just a commuter bike and a real motorcycle.  (sorry Enertia...)  Thanks for that clip!

It looks like there might be a slight rise in the pavement right where he cranks open the throttle which might help a little...?

The parking lot feature has been aptly named "Viagra's Rise"... ;)

If you have a wheelie that lasts for more than four hours...

Brian posted a higher res version of the video with the explanation:
Quote
Designer Greg Stoermer performs a short roll-on power wheelie on an Empulse R modified for eSuperStock racing in TTXGP, i.e. the Empulse TTX.
