The "Brammo at EICMA" thread
« on: November 13, 2012, 01:27:12 PM »
They are posting dozens of photos.  I will try to get them all up here, but for now:

Say what you will about their delivery timelines, they continue to have awesome displays at the motorcycle show.

(if anyone wants to post the photos here, feel free to do so.  I am just copying the URL of the photos and bracketing them in the img tags)

I agree that each year the display at Milan improves greatly...I bet the cost of the display increases greatly too :)

It does look great.

Greeters...much nicer than the Walmart Greeters...a fair bit younger too...too young for me, but I'm sure they will get lots of people to meet in Milan...

I do like the video wall...

I'm glad to see their spokesmodels are wearing more clothing this year, to be honest.

Pretty bikes + pretty ladies = winning.

I agree with both. Everyone loves high boots (on women). And curly hair! Curly hair is great. Especially in red.

Well, to add something to the topic (hint: ironie): I've got my driving license today, after 3.5 months of hard work and one failed attempt. Im a class A Fuehrer now :)
In view of my miserable failure on the first attempt (killed the motor ~15 times in less than ten minutes out of nervosity) it feels quite good. Horray!
Cant wait to do a test drive on a zero/enertia and just enjoy not clutching at all. I hate this thing.

Congrats!!

And yes, a major advantage of the Empulse is you can use the clutch...or not...(well except highway riding...need to shift up for that)...but in the city I may or may not shift much at all...haven't decided yet...still waiting for my test drive...

And never will you stall again. (stalling is A) embarrassing, B) slightly dangerous as the car behind you might just keep going, and C) embarrassing... :) )

Zero picked up a MSF certification for their 2012 XU. While learning to use a clutch is a very valuable skill for motorcyclists in general, there are a number of two-wheeled vehicles which do not need it. Many scooters use a CVT, and a small number of motorcycles have a dual-clutch automated transmission option.

Been there.. done that.. would like to not repeat.

A clutch is a crutch. It's present on the Empulse because most motorcyclists are used to it.. but it's not needed to start from a stop, and I wonder how much it's really needed to shift between gears.
