Haha!  Where's the Beemer?  Old picture?

Ha... Know thine enemy.

These are from the Yamaha Champions Riding School at Laguna Seca from a couple of weeks ago.  They usually run the class at Miller Motorsports Park, but are at Laguna for the "off-season" while Miller is un-rideable.  They provide and prep Yamaha R6s for the class.  It's nice 'cause you can focus on fixing the rider and not worry about the bike... I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to ride fast safely on the street or the track.  Aaron and I got to ride in our own group with Shane Turpin as our instructor.  It was awesome!

I've still got the Beemer, but it'll be listed shortly on Craigslist.  Gotta make room for an Empulse R!

Nice!

I hope to be at Miller this year (it looked more relaxed, low key and fun compared to the insanity of SECA**)...and might have to take that class. I, as I've stated before, am not a deep lean kinda rider...but with a little training I might learn that gravity can be held at bay...

(Borrowed from Steve Atlas' Facebook page)

Making room for a R?

Nice. What color and what mods are you already planning :)

**not that I didn't have a blast at SECA...but I kinda worked my arse off...only to find out later I could have lounged in the VIP building the whole time if I wanted...of course that would have bored me and isn't really my thing...

Gavin,

Unfortunately, I don't think there will be a Miller round of TTXGP this season, so you might have to brave Laguna again!

Yep... I've already got my Enertia in the garage along with the Volt and the BMW, so things are getting tight.  The Empulse is soooo good at my usual weekend ride that the only reason to keep the BMW is for the track, and I don't see that being a regular thing with my little guy at home.  I've got some good ideas for Empulse mods, but I'm not ready to share yet... ;)

Dang...miller looked very cool and more intimate...

SECA is like a first date at a Frat Party...Miller seems more of dinner and a movie...

You can have fun at both, but you know more about your date after dinner and a movie...and less likely to be covered in puke too...

And yes, having kids changes you...but it is well worth it...

But, like a morning after a frat party, you are likely to be tired, grumpy, not sure where you fell asleep last night...and covered in puke...
