Shameless plug, but I thought we needed a thread with a title that shouts "BRAMMO"S RACING GAS BIKES THIS WEEKEND!", with a link to help you get caught up and maybe give you an idea on what you might want to watch out for.

Formula 1 is the class.  There are a bunch of Formula classes.  The Formula classes are not restricted to production bikes.  So if you have the money I suppose you could show up with an old GP bike.

Ah, got it. I thought perhaps Formula I was broken into different classes for each engine type.

There'd be live blogging and podcasting if I was there.  I think Brian and the team are up to their elbows.  Not only do they want a real good showing against the gas bikes, but they also have marching orders from some goober blogger.  :P

Nope, that's Superbike that does that.

You know what, this sucks.  No news about practice, and I'm not sure about qualifying.  I did go through all that video for nothing as if I had paid more attention to protomech's post.

Any chance you guy would start campaign to get Brammo to fly me out so I can cover the next one of these things?  No wait, that would probably involve Brammo having to pay everyone on the team hazardous duty pay (aka bribe money) to put up with me.  :o

Let's try to get a google+ hangout together to watch the race tomorrow. At least starting with Shelina, meet up at say 9:30 AM pacific / 12:30 PM eastern.

PM me or post here and I'll grab you.

That or you need to recruit frodus (or flar, or Richard230) as your west coast correspondent : )

In fact, a rumor says we may have some live track video coverage at the hangout..

Brammo has a facebook update with some tidbits from practice yesterday.

Also ttxgpfan @ esbk.co got a very late interview with Shelina last night : ) They talk about the practice results 40 minutes in.
http://esbk.co/2013/05/05/esbk-studios-special-shelina-spills-the-beans/

Shelina's already at a 2:00 laptime after two practice sessions.

Results from 2009 in the two classes the TTX will compete in:

Code: [Select]
Superbike 250:
Pos Name Mk/Yr Best Lap
  1 THOMPSON, ED Suz08 1:54:951
  2 CAPPS, RICHARD Kaw08 1:55:995
  3 MC KINNEY, MARK Kaw08 2:04:136
  4 HARRIS, CRAIG Kaw02 2:09:233
  5 MAZURKIEWICZ, LISA Kaw99 2:11:216

So she's right up in there with the gas bikes. Will be some good racing :)

And here's Eric's competition on the TTX:
Code: [Select]
Formula 500 Twins:
Pos Name Mk/Yr Best Lap
  1 ERKMAN, ALLEN Suz99 1:51:640
  2 ANDERSON, VIK Suz01 1:52:063
  3 FORMAN, JONATHAN E. Suz02 1:54:636
  4 ALDINGER, PATRICK Kaw95 2:00:109
  5 KIMBALL, JAKE Kaw87 2:05:390

Both Steve and Eric are turning in 1:49 best laps on the RR bikes. Would put them at ~ 25/38 in SB750 and 13/21 in F1, just going by best lap times. Will see what they're doing after the 2nd practice session, which just wrapped up.

The fastest 250s were running about a 1:58 Shelina thought.  Can you get me in the hangout?

Absolutely. Yeah the first times I posted were bogus, dumped them in OpenOffice and it tried to interpret them as a hour:minute:second.
