T-Shirts?
« on: August 29, 2012, 01:25:19 PM »
I was looking around for a Brammo T-shirt to buy for when I'm walking around Daytona, but the Gear section of Brammo's website is pretty sparse. So I came up with my own design, and asked Adrian if it was okay to make it.

He said it was fine, as long as I wasn't selling them. Fair enough. He also sent me the Brammo Style Guide, and the Brammo logos, so that I could make something that didn't look too hacked up.

Here's what I came with.

What do you think?

I like it!

Nice prominent Brammo logo on the motor.

I'd buy one, if they were for sale.

But since they aren't for sale, it would be a darn shame if you accidentally made one in size extra-large and lost it.  Lost it in an box with my address on it.  It would surely just be a coincidence if $25 bucks appeared in your paypal account at around that same time...

Well, you could give them away for free with the purchase of an autographed picture of yourself for $25.

Yes. We're not paying for the shirts. Just the plastic bag they came in.

Thanks for all that positive feedback. :)

So the shirt is up on a T-shirt customization website called CafePress.

I can't sell them (and you shouldn't either), but you should be able to order one for yourself (and your friends). The website charges $30 for one, but only $21.60 for 2 or more (the more you get, the cheaper it is!)

Here's the link.

I've also added that image to a long sleeve shirt:

A few notes:
  • You could pick a different color T-shirt than black, but it wouldn't work out too well (try it and see).
  • I've not bought the shirt myself yet (I just uploaded the design today), so I cannot swear that it will look as good as the picture.
  • If you want that image on anything else (a different shirt, mugs, whatever), it's pretty easy to do that, so let me know.

I ordered, and will get one around the 12th or so.  I'll let folks know what they look like.

I ordered a couple of the long sleeve versions. I like long sleeve shirts as I can wear them under my bike jacket, and when lose the jacket, the shirt keeps the sun off me better than SPF 50 sun-block (very handy in Florida).

I too will let you know how they turned out when they show up.

My T-Shirts came in today. I have to say that they look pretty darn good (thank you Cafe Press).

The resolution isn't as good as the original image (which is to be expected when printing on fabric), and the red isn't as vibrant as I would have liked, but I'm going to call it a success.

Here's a picture of what it looks like on some poor unsuspecting model. ;)

Here's an enlargement of the image.

Great job and I suspect the shirt is better looking that the photo which appears to be a little washed out from the flash.

Love the graphic design of it, better than Brammo's own. They should buy the design from you so they could sell them like hotcakes!
