TTX Rear set
« on: April 23, 2014, 09:08:09 PM »
Does anyone know who makes this? Is it Brammo custom? I'm looking to make some changes to the standard pegs on the R.

Pretty sure it's a Brammo custom.  They're super nice, I've seen them close up -- but FYI they delete the kickstand.

I would like both rear sets AND a kickstand, so I've been considering just making my own (which sounds awesome but I am also lazy).

There are no current aftermarket rearsets that I'm aware of beyond the Brammo rearsets designed for racing.  The racing rearsets are nice as they have a lot of adjustability and the shift linkage can be set up for traditional or GP (reverse) shift pattern.

However, there are a couple of issues:

1. The rearset was not designed to accommodate a kickstand mount for road-use.

2. The parts are manufactured in very low volumes, so prices are high.  Still - If you're interested please send me a PM and I'll send you a quote on the parts.  It might be that someone could take our design to another manufacturer and come up with something more cost effective for everyone else.

Thanks Brian. PM sent.

Not having a kickstand is no biggie for racing/tracking...I'd expect that. I remove or zip tie my other one from my other bike for racing/track days.

I don't mind the OEM pegs for road use, but they seem low for track so I'm going for adjustability factor.

I would need/want rear sets that could accommodate a kick stand simply because I never ride on the track and simply want a better riding position to go with my clip-ons...
