The 8.0 prototype is rumored to weigh 390 .lbs, but it may be too early to know the final weight of the production models until production starts. There were some different weights quoted for the Enertia while the Enertia was in the prototype stage vs. the actual production model.

Yessirree.  I embarrassed myself by sending an email to Susan Carpenter (LA Times) when she reported that the Enertia weighed 324 lbs.  I said that it had always been listed at 276 lbs in every publication and on the Brammo site.  She replied, "look again."  Brammo had updated the site that day and, doggone it, if the production bike didn't weigh in at 48 lbs heavier than the prototype.  So yeah.... it's still early to be reporting weights.

"The three production versions have estimated curb weights of 370 lbs for the 6.0, 390 lbs for the 8.0, and 410 lbs for the 10.0, Bramscher said."

The batteries come from Leyden Energy, who claims a remarkable 225 wh/kg. 2.0 kwh of battery = 8.9 kg = 19.6 lbs. Add another few pounds for packaging and cooling.

I'll be amazed if Leyden's figures are accurate. Their cells are almost double the energy density of the Tesla Roadster's cells, and an easy 60-70% higher then the Nissan Leaf's pack.
