What are the plugs next to the grips for?

There are two plugs near either grip that aren't plugged in to anything. One side is black and the other side is red. I haven't been able to find anything out about them. What are they for?

I think the best that was figured out on the other thread were they might be for some kind of future accessories. Or some kind of diagnostic port. They don't exist on the 2013 models.

There IS one extra handlebar plug (black, not orange) on the 2013, left side, and I was told by Brammo that it was for some future accessory. It does NOT have any kind of 12V supply available to it.
