My new Empulse R (147 miles on clock, not yet out of first run in stage), does not know it is moving any more.

Symptoms are:

* Everything okay until moving
* On moving, speed reads 0, green stopped-but-drive-engaged warning lights remain flashing as if stopped
* Rev counter still works, as does gear indicator, and motor temp
* After a few hundred meters the red system fault triangle comes on
* No error code on dash, but as it's cold in the UK right now the dash is showing the usual "regen disabled" message

I've turned the bike off and on repeatedly, put it back on charge and off, no help. Mailed Brammo support earlier in the week, still waiting for a response (prodded them again today :), but wondered if anyone here might be able to offer support (even if it's just moral - gutted that my bike is off the road before I'd managed to get it over 3500 rpm :/ ).

My instinct is that the speed sensor has become disconnected - clearly the dash can talk to the motor, just not get any speed info - any tips where to look for that if it's user accessible appreciated.

Hello mdales, we follow each other on Instagram (Mjabbott10).  Sorry that you are having trouble!  I'm curious what BrammoService had to say.  I believe that the speed sensor is attached to the rear brake bracket.

just the sensor. take 5 min to change. Mine was not working for a month. now im good at speed guessing with the wind. ;D Just send the sensor to your dealer & ride it until you receive the new one.

Had my speed sensor replaced last week too.
 Failed right around 5000 miles.
When its not working, neither is the odometer so all accrued miles during the couple of weeks it didn't work were not counted.
  Also, from what I can tell it also supplies the regen from the rear wheel. So while its out, that is lacking as well.
Not that it provides much back to the batteries but you certainly feel the difference.

Speed sensor is the same as found on a Ducati Monster.

Are you sure the Speed Sensor is the same from Ducati Monster?
Can you specify the model and year?
I will post here the part number and all the details!
