Battery pack upgrade/swap
« on: May 22, 2019, 04:51:54 AM »
do you have any info about compatibility for replacement battery pack or increase capacity?

I find info about Enertia but nothing for Empulse.

Thanks!!

I think it's possible to fit  2170 in 4s28p=112(x7) totals 784 cells in the boxes.
would give you around 14kWh depending on the type of cells used.

I have an old electric bike with a lithium pack and had it rebuilt with new cells recently.  He was able to get about 25% more capacity with newer cells.  An experience rebuilder should be able to do this but I would think a pack as large as the Empulse would be pretty costly

I do not think those parts will know were the juice comes from or goes too. ;D
wiring won't need to change.

thanks :D

as you can see it's 4s9p pouch cells.
on busbars.

So now to put 4s28p 2170 cilindric cells on those same busbars exit points :P

As a bonus you get 40kw continuous from batteries but for $6000 is it really worth it on this bike?
