Brammo Empulse blow-out sale
« on: August 10, 2015, 04:58:54 PM »
I just received an email message from Brammo. They are cleaning out their inventory with the following sale at several dealers located around the country.  It is really amazing to me that there are still Brammos left to sell after last winter's "fire sale".  But you really can't beat these prices if you can snag one:

Model                Final Retail Price
2014 Empulse    $9,995
2014 Empulse R    $11,995
2013 Enertia Plus    $5,995

Here is a list of the dealers that still have some inventory:

Hollywood Electrics
901 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046
Phone:(323) 654-8271

Grand Canyon
10434 Higwhay 69, Mayer, AZ 86333
Phone:(928) 632-4009

Kustom Workz
5035 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043
Phone:(716) 651-0044

Synergy Motorworks
6810 E 41st St, Tulsa, OK 74145
Phone:(866) 782-0858

Eurosports
303 S 3rd St, Coopersburg, PA 18036
Phone:(610) 282-9300
current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

My first thought was, doesn't this create a tension with Victory's Empulse sales?  The argument for buying a new Victory for $20K when a 2014 R can be had for $12K is pretty weak.  But there's probably not enough leftovers to make a difference.

Sounds like a good way to get rid of old stock first. High price on new, lower existing brammo prices til they're gone, then lower new prices a bit with incentives.

I'm more worried about what this just did to my resell value

Yeah, if I bought the Empulse for the original price, I'd be pretty pissed. But they gotta blow out the inventory somehow... It's really a hell of a deal. And now with parts and service support guaranteed, they shouldn't have issues moving the bikes, assuming word gets out.

The email claimed they would:

Honestly, this move is really baffling.  Polaris owns Brammo's motorcycles, from all reports.  I'd think Polaris (as Victory) would be making this move, not Brammo.  There's more to this story than meets the eye, I suspect.

I think it's a pretty straightforward attempt to clear out any remaining Brammo inventory before Victory takes over. I called Eurosports last week about getting some recalls done and they said they were still getting support from Brammo and still had a few bikes in stock. I'm sure Victory is ramping up their production and electric bike infrastructure, while Brammo is winding down. The official transition will probably happen some time in the fall.

Definitely not. One of the articles covered this around the time Polaris bought them. They have a brand new factory opened up where they will be making Victory Empulses
