Just wondering if a Valence U1-12RT would be a viable substitute for the discontinued U1-12XP in the original Enertia.  I realize that the chemistry, cables and bms are different, but would the newer battery function properly with the bms from the older battery?  Are the parts of the battery cases that contain the cells the same dimensions?  If so, maybe the top cover containing the bms board etc. could be placed on the XP case.

Any opinions from the experts?

The xp cells have a higher dischargerate then the RT cells.
XP dischargerate: 80A continue/ 120A peak.
RT dischargerate: 30A continue/   80A peak.
You will need to change settings in your controller, otherwise the battery will overheat or at least have a severe drop in voltage when your pullings amps.
