System Fault S60
« on: June 29, 2018, 10:02:15 AM »
any one had this before?

manual says motor too cold.

but today it is 32C outside.

motor temp reads 163C ish.

when I touched the motor it was just warm I think about 55C or so.
which is normal.

small update,

Turns out the coolant level was low, so a lot of noise from the pump.
filled it up again and let the air out.
pump sounds normal again.

still got the S60 code and a presieved motor temp around 165C from start up.
so water pumps kicks in inmediately.

is there a way to reset the bike that's not just turning is off and on again?

I checked the log files today.

motortemp was showing -50 or so

different from the display that shows 150c or so

probably a motor termister died or a cable defect somewhere

no other problems exept for the odd 1 second A6 fault about the AIM

drove to work and back that's 140km no problems exept for the S60 code and blinking warning symbol irritating in the display.

found the sensor that is faulty
termister inside the motor :o

I don't think I can't fix that, so I'm going to try to fool the sevcon with a 30Kohm resistor so it thinks the motor temp is at 25c
if it's a Omega 44008 at least.

Confirmed that the sensor is faulty.

I disconnected the sensor on the motor and put a new KTY84 on the connector to the motorcontroller to test.

Now it shows an  almost normal motor temp on the display and the S60 error has gone.;D
The only thing left is to find a good place to put the new sensor so it will get the most accurate temps.

Do you have any pictures of this sensor?  For future reference?
