1. Two up riding it would be nice! a few times I had to give a relative a lift when their car broke down.

2.  A  more functional/practical design for the rear of the bike
I want to be able to strap down a box or  a bag of groceries if need be. Make the rear end seat
more flat and friendly to bungee nets and bungee cords. The current design would be
a challenge for strapping items down!

3. Emergency flashers on bikes I ran out of fuel on the highway at night
    flashers would have been nice.

4. 12 volt power outlet so I could easily plug in my GPS.

5. Run flat tires as standard!.......gr8 video demo @...... http://www.rhinotire.com/
never have to worry about flats on your Brammo bike.

You could run your GPS off of a powered usb connection. Depends on if the "plug-and-tune electronics" USB port on the Empulse provides power or not.

Standard USB provides 500ma at 5v. It's possible they have the port set up to only power devices with the brammo manufacturer id or some similar, but unlikely. Probably it would work fine for a GPS.

Removing the USB data storage device may cause a warning to appear on the Enertia dash, however.

Another HUGE HUGE plus would be frame sliders as an option. I see some rear spools on the prototype which is very cool, but I don't see where the sliders would screw in. Am I just missing them? Does the Enertia support frame sliders? These things are invaluable and saved my bike from certain destruction this last weekend.

1. Tell me where I should look for them on my frame,
2. Sorry to hear about your spill... you okay?

On most ICE bikes the frame sliders mount to the engine or frame:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sturzpad-bs-gsxr750-07.jpg

In the case of the Enertia, if it has mounting point I sure cant imagine where it would be. They are meant to save the frame more so than the fairings and in some cases people mount them under the fairings to prevent them from collapsing and causing damage to the frame or engine. So the mount points could be under the fairing, or not there at all. If they are there they should be somewhere mid frame.

The Enertia isnt an aggressive bike, and perhaps its intended use doesnt warrant them, but even in the event of a simple drop in the garage they can be a life saver.

The Empulse would defiately benefit from some well placed frame sliders.

As far as my little spill goes... I am perfectly fine. It was a 30 mph low-side and my gear held up nicely. The Ducati only suffered minor damage thanks to the frame sliders.

Very aware of the benefit of frame sliders... also very aware of the carnage that can occur from a low-speed low side without them!   :o

I will say, however, that the Enertia is so narrow that you'd really have to have a big tip-over and have the bike slide for a long way down a very abrasive road for a frame slider to help.  In most cases I've seen, the handlebar(which is steel), barends, and footpeg take the brunt of the impact and there's even very little cosmetic damage done to the bodywork.  This is a big benefit of the Enertia, but we typically don't like to talk about this most unfortunate circumstance that we motorcyclists sometimes find ourselves in...  ;)

Since we can't get something unless we ask and we can ask for anything...I plan on doing what it sounds like many others are doing: tracking their mileage and electricity usage in order to calculate fuel savings, cost/mile, etc.  It would be nice if bikes computer could save this information and the user could periodically download it.

Date of charging
Miles between charge
Battery usage between charges
Electricity consumed during charging

I was planning on getting a kill-a-watt and tracking this information with average electricity costs in a spreadsheet, but if the computer could do it for me and output a csv file, that would save me the trouble of carrying around the kill-a-watt and a notebook for recording the information.  A iPhone/smart phone app would be icing on the cake!

I'm preparing for all of the questions that I'm sure I will be asked about the Empulse.  I'm kind of a data geek so I like real numbers rather than general specs.

I wrote a small program that will read in the enertia log files, which are stored on a thumbdrive under the seat in the Enertia. Most of the data fields have not yet been identified, but it'll give you all the raw data to pore over - cell voltages, currents, temperatures, etc. As far as I can tell, the log I have doesn't have any discharge / in operation data, so I'm not entirely sure what that will look like.

Im not sure if the Empulse battery would benefit from this but if so it would be nice to have something like an advanced battery management mode of sorts. On my Fusion Hybrid I understand that the system never allows the battery to fall below 45% or charge above 85% to prolong the life of the battery which is expected to last the life of the car. I realize we are talking about different battery technologies here so this may not apply to the Empulse.

Most of the time I will be using the Empulse as a commuter and dont need more than 25 miles round trip out of it before I hook it back up to a charger so even a 40% battery window will work just fine for me. Like i said, if this even applies, it would be cool for the motorcycle to do this thinking for me.

i want to see storage. I use a scooter now for my main means of transit and I like being able to load it down with groceries, my laptop and books, etc. Some kind of saddlebags or something would be nice. I'm sure something already exists aftermarket.

A two seater.

Dual front headlights and additional lights for safety

couple more  :)

1. a canopy like on the bmw c3 scooter. living in a tropical area with tropical storms would make that appealing, but it would probably take a redesign. a 3-wheeled canopied empulse with crumple zones and roll bars like the bmw would be schweet! that'd fully replace a car in my book

2. this one is more serious. ABS!!!! most upscale motorcycles have them, and it makes a huge huge difference. this should be actually pretty easy to add as an option?
