One Valance battery blinking red
« on: April 30, 2018, 10:54:58 AM »
Hi everyone,

Still working on this charging issue. I did notice that one out of six of my Valance batteries blinks red every 5 seconds. The others blink green every 20.

I've red the manual on these batteries and the red indicates a fault - either low voltage, or some other issues. The manual is really confusing on this subject, saying you need to reset the battery by holding an open-current until voltage goes below 7v, then try recharging at 12v 1a.

Anyone have some clarification? Or another battery I could purchase? Or some ideas? Or a free Brammo that works :)

Thank you!

Hi, do you have a Valence U1-12XP battery manual? I would also need it.
I have three batteries that are not blinking and one that blinks red.

Thunderstruck motors has some valence batteries for sale in the garage sale section, might be worth a look, I know they can't ship outside of the US so that may be a problem, I'm not affiliated with them but I have bought from them and they are awesome to deal with

I was looking at their website, but they only offer type U27-12XP.
This is a bigger battery size than the U1-12XP and so it does not fit inside Brammo Enertia Basic.

KaFr,
You can find a copy of the user manual for the RT version of the Valence XP battery module here (http://mrbill.homeip.net/downloads/userGuideValenceRT.pdf) with a section on how to charge or properly charge a seemingly dead/refuses to charge battery module. The XP and RT battery are spec wise identical except the XP battery module has a significantly higher discharge load C rating. Please remember to post your findings so it may help others in the future. Since Polaris/Victory has left us to swing in the wind, we only have ourselves to help.

Hi amped,
Thanks for the manual for Valence RT. I found the manual for the XP version, but I could not download it.
