Yes, the battery cell type is 18650.
The total number of battery cells is 120 pieces.

so what if you replace them with 18650 3500mAh 3,65v Li-on?

more then double the range  :P?

needs a differnt BMS for sure :o

Hi KaFr,
How did you get the batteries out of the box, the pack is glued on the bottom of the box i think.
On the pictures it looks like you are taking out the cells one by one?

I disassembled and reassembled a valence battery, not that difficult...

Please forgive my ignorance, but how did you cleanly remove the copper plate?  I've got about 9 of these battery packs I'm going to salvage and build my own custom pack for another application.

Finally got communication with my batteries. Despite them being stored at 0.0v since 2013, all but one recharged to full capacity. None of them have more than 7 charge cycles.

I used a FTDI FT232RL USB to RS485 Converter with a M12 Female Straight 5 Pin Connector pigtail

So I'm about to open up this one now and see how many cells I need to buy.
