Help with an odd problem
« on: November 14, 2021, 09:34:51 PM »
I think i am about to be a new owner of a 2013 Enertia plus
When i went to look at it had a v58 code.  When turnings the lgnition to the on position nothing happened but then we plugged in the charger and it started up.  Also when we turned the bike off the dash and lights stayed off.  We had to pull a fuse to turn them
.off.  Please help!

Hi Odogster,
coincidentally, I now have the same problem with my Enertia+.
Error V58 means that the 12V voltage is out of tolerance. The fault is most likely a faulty DC converter Sevcon 80 / 12V or poor contact on this converter.
Try to remove the bottom cover and after turning the key to the ON position, measure the output voltage on the DC converter (two thinner wires).
Also try to clean the DC converter connector and check if it is not too loose in the connected state.
Cheers
Karel  :)
