LED conversion
« on: April 23, 2022, 02:44:24 PM »
Hello All,
Just got done converting headlight and turn signals to led! DLR was plug and play but main halogen hole needed to be enlarged a bit as I used 40W led bulb with halo and cooling fan built into the front of the bulb! Not only it looks awesome during the day and also much much brighter at night preserving identical light pattern as oem bulb. For turn signals I choose sequential ones with three wires so in front extra wire is connected to DLR and if turn signal is off they are bright white and in rear they are connected to brake wire and give a much more light when stopping (day and night). The whole project took about one hour and total cost including relay replacement so turn signals work perfectly was around 50 bucks. DLR bulbs come with two in the package so I also replaced rear license plate bulb for much greater brightness. I will upload YouTube link when I get a chance.
Btw this was on 2013 Empulse R

Excellent. Wonder if this would work for the Enertia.

Enertia has little different headlamp. Take out halogen bulb and measure distance to the glass. Headlamp bulb opening will have to be enlarged couple of mm just like on Empulse but you want to make sure there is enough depth. LED bulb listing has all dimensions listed. Turn signals and dlr/license bulbs should work PnP.
