The spaceship scooter, what ever happened to the C Evolution?  I thought that was a great scooter.

It did seem well developed, although it certainly didn't sell well in the U.S. However, I think it sold well in the EU and especially in France, but I have no idea if it is still on the market or not. The only excuse that I can think of for replacing it with the CE 04 is if that new scooter costs a lot less than the C-Evolution.  ???

In my opinion, the BMW C-Evolution electric maxi-scooter is technically and visually very successful. I think quite a lot of them have been sold in Europe. It was even one of the candidates for me to buy before I chose the Victory Empulse TT.

Why didn't I buy the BMW in the end?
- much higher weight (62kg / 136lb more than Victory)
- too large width over mirrors (140mm / 5.5inches more than Victory)
- lower range for the standard version (100km / 62.5miles)
- high price of the version with an extended range of 160km / 100miles (twice the price of a used BMW compared to a used Victory)

I enjoyed riding it but yeah it's is pretty big it's like riding on a couch.  It would make a great commuter and around town bike.  Lots of space to put stuff inside it and if you got a top case.

Speaking of the C Evolution saw this video today.  It pretty cool how the battery pack is the main stressmember for the whole bike.

I have seen that video before (or one like it) and have been very impressed. That factory assembly process is definitely nothing like the way they build Zeros or any other electric motorcycles that I have seen, for that matter.  ;)

It has arrived: Here is a link to an article regarding BMW's latest electric scooter, the CE 04. I wonder if that seat is as hard as it looks?   ::) The automatically-applied parking brake that functions when the side stand is deployed is a good idea. The TFT instrument display screen is a nice touch. At 504 pounds, it certainly is no lightweight. And of course, being a BMW there will be extra-cost factory features, such as are on the "Premium" version that will set you back an additional $1,650 over the base price of $11,795 in the U.S.

Hmm well the price is alright would be nice if they could go lower but it's BMW we're talking about here.

I honestly don't see how this is any better than the C Evolution, they should have just updated what they had already.

Here is a link to the official factory spin about their new scooter. Definitely not the prettiest vehicle I have ever seen. And what is up with that orange fly screen?: https://electricmotorcycles.news/the-new-bmw-ce-04-unveiled/

Long Way Home has a few funny words to say about BMW's new CE 04 electric scooter, including that they will no longer be building gas-powered scooters:

It looks like board seats are becoming a styling "thing" with some electric motorcycle manufacturers.  :'(

I always said sitting on the Empulse seat felt like a piece of wood,  that literally looks like a piece of 2x4 wood.
