Don't bet on it. How long has it been since you saw a cheap Triumph?

Haha well they are reasonably priced depending on the model but yeah I'm thinking an electric Triumph will be pricey.

A recent video discussion with a Triumph representative indicated that the company has no plans to manufacture and market the TE-1.

Boo so it's just won't go further than a prototype =(  The specs are promising.  More power than the empulse and lighter.

Listen closely to this interview with a Triumph rep regarding the completion of the TE-1 project. In the interview he mentions that Triumph has no intention of manufacturing and selling the TE-1 as it would be too expensive for the market. He talks of the possibility of selling a scooter or what sounds like a commuter EV sometime in the future. So Triumph was clearly into the TE-1 project for fun and maybe to get a pat on the back from the UK government and zero-emissions community.

I guess so.  To turn a profit on an electric motorcycle is tough.  I talked to one of the engineers that worked at Mission Motors one time and he told me the bike they built costed like $100,000.  So that puts into perspective how amazing these electric motorcycle companies are like Zero, Energica, Sur Ron, etc... are.
