Brammo Enertia Plus dosn't charge after winter

Berni_JUHU:
Dear Friends,

i have stored my Brammo Enertia + during the winter. It was charged about 80% when i stored it. Now i've tried to "wake her up" with charging, but the charging prozess don't start. I left her on charger since 48h but charging prozess doesn't start. Every few minutes it tries to start, starting sound appears, Display goes on, and after few secondes everything goes off again. Parking light front/back is blinking every 1 Miunte - 1 time.  I think batteries are undervoltage, but i have no idea how to bring them back to charge. Thanks for listening, best regard Berni

Hello Berni.

I know that the bike will "time out" if it doesn't see power within a minute or so after the charging process is started.  Is it possible that this is what is happening?  Have you confirmed that the bike is getting power from the charging cable?

I also know from experience that the batteries will self discharge more and more during storage once they start to age/degrade.  My spare parts Enertia had this happen and the voltage was too low for the bike to power up at all.

Just a thought.

hello guys, blinking parkinglights happend to me too. sometimes it would start, most times not.
Kafr came up with the answer: the dc-dc converter mallfunctioned. This should provide the 12 volts to start the system of the bike. replaced it and it's working fine now!
hopes this helps?

Hey guys, thanks for answering !

I have brought my Enertia to a specialist, he disassembled the whole bike and tried to reload the battery external. But Voltage from some cells is so low, that they take no current anymore. So the hole battery is faulty and there's no possibility to repair the cells. Now he tries to find someone who will rebuild a new battery with new cells, because i didn't find anybody who sells a replacement battery for my Enertia Plus....

Best regards

I'm sorry to hear about your bike.  I don't know if this person still has any parts left, but you could try contacting him to see if he has a spare battery for sale.
